Canada Weekend Highlights

We spent the weekend in Canada visiting my husband's extended family. It was a blast and as always, so very fun to travel together and get away for a few days.

Passports and coffees in hand ready to board.

It's free drink summer on Alaska Airlines. Of course we took full advantage.

Calgary was beautiful! So fun to see where my mother-in-law grew up.

We were together with my parents in-law, sister-in-law, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and second cousins. There were almost 30 of us in total, and five second cousins under age three. We held a lot of babies and chased after toddlers.

We visited Banff one day, and were amazed. Gorgeous, enormous mountains and breathtaking scenery.

Tunnel mountain. Words don't do it justice.

Turquoise water at Bow Falls.

Mountaintop kisses at Banff. Self-timer for the win on this one.

The best part of the trip was getting time together with Daniel's family, and especially his grandparents. Really special to know them. There is something about extended family all together. The history, relationships, memories, and connections run deep. I loved getting a glimpse of this and being a part of it for a weekend.

Flying back home with a broader worldview. Love seeing how people live life differently in other countries. Love our Canadian relatives and so thankful for time with them.
